Lactic acid is an organic acid belonging to the category of alpha hydroxy acids. Lactic acid has properties of skin exfoliant, pH regulator and skin conditioning. After the treatment of cutaneous exfoliation, cell turnover is accelerated and glycosaminoglycan synthesis is stimulated, as a result the skin appears brighter and more hydrated.
